Sickened, and very sad for the French people, and indeed the world, on waking this morning to hear of the atrocities in Paris.
I have written quite a few songs over the years – this one seems appropriate today. It is called ‘Have you got eyes that see?’
This poem is my favourite from my book, and came to me one morning, almost like it was ‘sent’ to me by another source, the words came pouring out. It was obviously triggered by the sight of all the autumn leaves in the canal.
I wrote this poem at a particularly dark time in my life, you can probably tell!
